Senior Deep Learning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Deep Learning Engineer to join our team at understandAI GmbH. The successful candidate will develop new and improve existing machine learning models, collaborating closely with our team to automate data annotations. Our goal is to create high-quality ground truth annotations using cutting-edge deep learning techniques.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the deployment of models into production, using frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch on large-scale projects. They will also have a solid understanding of machine learning concepts, including linear algebra, stochastics, and computer vision. A university degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field is required.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will measure and improve our automation workflows to ensure seamless integration of machine learning models.
  • You will integrate new algorithms and deep learning models into our product, pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
  • You will prepare datasets and automate our data pipeline, ensuring that our models receive the best possible training data.
  • You will participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions to ensure that our code meets the highest standards of quality and maintainability.
  • You will support and develop your colleagues by providing advice, coaching, and technical guidance, helping them to grow and succeed in their roles.
  • You will stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of deep learning, reading papers and implementing innovative ideas.
