Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance Specialist role is a pivotal opportunity for a skilled and experienced professional with a solid technical background in welded steel structures composed of painted carbon steel or stainless steel. This position is primarily based at G+H Schallschutz GmbH, yet involves significant engagement at various international workshop locations.
Key Responsibilities:- Clarify G+H technical drawings, specifications, and material lists to fabricators, assisting them in understanding the requirements.
- Provide guidance to fabricators regarding production timelines.
- Address technical inquiries from fabricators concerning designs or drawings.
- Evaluate the qualifications of fabricators, including WPS, PQR, welder certifications, shop qualifications, and NDT personnel qualifications.
- Examine material certification documents.
- Conduct inspections during production, focusing on welding seams, dimensions, and paint quality.
- Perform final inspections and acceptance checks at the fabricator's site for completed products.
- Review and verify final quality documentation.
- Ensure adherence to all company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements, tools, system solutions, and technologies, implementing improvements in collaboration with the leadership team.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized institution or completion of a mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
- A minimum of three years of experience in metal fabrication environments.
- Familiarity with international standards and codes related to steel fabrication.
- Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic proficiency in German is advantageous.
