We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Applike Group GmbH. As a key member of our organization, you will provide strategic legal guidance and support across all aspects of our business, ensuring compliance with German, EU, and global laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Legal Advice and Support: Offer expert legal guidance on a wide range of issues, including corporate law, contract law, labor law, intellectual property, data protection, and compliance matters.
- Draft and Negotiate Contracts: Develop, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, including service agreements, partnership agreements, license agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Monitor and Analyze Regulatory Changes: Stay up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and industry practices that may affect our operations and strategic objectives.
- Develop and Implement Compliance Policies: Create and implement internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with various departments, including HR, sales, marketing, and product development, to provide proactive legal advice and risk assessment.
- Represent the Company: Represent Applike Group GmbH in legal proceedings and manage relationships with shareholders and external counsel as needed.
- Assist with Corporate Governance: Assist in corporate governance matters, including preparations for board meetings and compliance with corporate governance standards.
- Provide Training and Education: Provide training to company employees on legal compliance, intellectual property rights, and data protection best practices.
- Language Skills: Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Education and Experience: A law degree from a recognized university in Germany, ideally with admission to the German Bar. A minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in the technology sector or a law firm advising technology companies.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the legal framework and regulations affecting the technology industry in Germany and the EU (ideally also globally).
- Expertise and Skills: Strong expertise in corporate law, contract law, and compliance issues, with a good understanding of intellectual property and data protection laws. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal professionals.
- Personal Qualities: Proactive, solution-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
