Job Description

Jobgether is a remote job platform that connects professionals with top companies worldwide. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Software Developer to join our team.

As a Senior Java Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in modernizing and scaling our SaaS product in HR tech. Your primary responsibility will be to transform our legacy codebase, focusing on performance and scalability, while adopting cloud technologies and ensuring top-notch usability.

You will work closely with our existing infrastructure, drive the technical transformation, and oversee the full development lifecycle. Your expertise in Java, cloud technologies, and software architecture will be essential in leading this project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical overhaul of our existing tech stack, transitioning to cloud-based technologies to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Remain hands-on in coding while applying modern development practices and ensuring adherence to technical standards.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development process, including planning, execution, and delivery, while managing timelines and budgets.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative remote team environment, prioritizing outcomes and coordinating technical projects.
  • Communicate technical progress and solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders and contribute to the product roadmap based on technical insights.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Expertise in Java, with a preference for experience in modern frameworks or plans for future integration.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
  • Strong knowledge of a UI JS framework, preferably React, with experience in or Angular considered an advantage.
  • Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience in modernizing legacy systems and scaling SaaS applications in the cloud.
  • Familiarity with modern tech stacks such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, AWS, and other cloud platforms.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and expectations.
