About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Network Engineer to join our team at Alpha-Engineering KG in Munich. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure for a hybrid, multi-cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement network infrastructure solutions for our cloud environment, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects that meet our business needs and ensure our network infrastructure is aligned with industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in cloud services, including Microsoft Azure and AWS, and design, configure, provision, and deploy solutions at the network layer.
  • Perform feasibility studies, IT concept development, market research, and vendor evaluations to ensure our network infrastructure meets our business requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain the availability of our company network and cloud network, using proactive monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Take operational responsibility for our connectivity network infrastructure and create operational documentation for the network infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in technology or computer science, or completed apprenticeship and corresponding professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in network infrastructure design, implementation, and administration.
  • Knowledge and experience with network operating systems, such as Aruba OS-CX and/or Cisco IOS.
  • Strong work experience with Palo Alto Suite and Aviatrix.
  • Knowledge and experience with internet routing protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, IS-IS, and/or OSPF, IPSec, VPNs, DNS, SSL, and other network services.
  • Experience with OT architectures and Software-Defined WAN (SDWAN) deployment.
  • Proven experience with public cloud providers, such as Azure and AWS, is highly appreciated.
  • Strong automation exposure with hands-on scripting/programming experience is highly appreciated.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, and any other languages would be beneficial.
