About the Role

KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA is seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to join our dynamic team. As the accountable product owner for the innovative CONVISO SMART project, you will work closely with Bayer CropScience and various internal and external stakeholders to drive the success of our non-GM herbicide tolerance system in sugarbeet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies for CONVISO SMART, ensuring its continued success in the market.
  • Implement life-cycle management policies and execute action plans to ensure trait durability and achieve long-term goals.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary project teams locally and internationally, ensuring effective collaboration between stakeholders and maintaining complex contracts in close cooperation with our legal team.
  • Ensure herbicide supply on a global level and manage the annual Tech Fee settlement with Bayer CropScience and license holders.
Requirements
  • Scientific degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Economy, or equivalent experience.
  • Several years of professional experience in R&D-driven companies with divisional structures.
  • Extensive knowledge of the agricultural seed and crop protection industry.
  • Strong analytical and solution-oriented skills, thriving in complex environments.
  • Results-driven, ensuring productive outcomes from meetings.
  • Ability to simplify and process complex relationships and communicate effectively with teams.
  • Creative thinker with an independent working style.
  • Convincing appearance and proactive contribution of ideas.
  • Strong business and customer orientation with exceptional service attitude, especially in negotiations.
  • Good IT skills; statistical knowledge is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written); proficiency in French or Spanish is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 15%).
