Financial Controller

We are D. u. E. Günther GmbH, a mid-sized company based in Bergkirchen, specializing in wholesale trade with hotel and gastronomy supplies and corresponding customer service. For 40 years, we have been the supplier of the Profi-Gastronomie. Since August 2022, we have been part of the METRO group, allowing us to utilize strong synergy effects and ensure financial stability.

We are looking for a:

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Review and recording of all business transactions
• Intercompany coordination
• Independent preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS
• Integration and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in the group's consolidated financial statements
• Main responsible for the handling of audits and annual financial statements
• Annual turnover tax verifications
• Independent preparation of cost center and cost bearer accounts
• Main responsible for the integrated financial planning and monthly preparation of plan vs. actual comparison

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A successful completion (training or studies) as a tax consultant or financial controller
• Several years of experience in the field of finance, accounting, and controlling in a mid-sized company or in tax consulting and auditing
• Proficient knowledge of relevant software systems, such as Microsoft Office and warehouse and accounting systems
