Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Stuttgart, Germany

Employment Type: Permanent, Hybrid Remote

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead our client's dynamic team in the development of cutting-edge consumer electronics and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of professional experience in C++, CMake, Linux, object-oriented programming, network protocols, and Qt.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C++ and Qt for consumer electronics and industrial applications.
  • Utilize CMake for build automation and manage complex software builds.
  • Develop and deploy software on Linux-based systems.
  • Apply object-oriented programming principles to create efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Implement and manage network protocols to ensure robust communication within and between systems.
  • Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Debug and resolve complex software issues and improve system performance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement processes and best practices within the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Qt.
  • Experience with CMake and Linux.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.).
  • Proven experience in embedded software development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the consumer electronics or industrial applications sector.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
