Business Operations Manager

The Business Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Business Office, ensuring the efficient management of general and subsidiary ledgers related to accounts payable, student accounts, and database software. This role will also provide training to campus-wide staff on business office processes.
- Supervise Accounts Payable staff, including evaluating workflow, deadlines, work objectives, time utilization, and problem-solving. Responsibilities include supplier payments, employee reimbursements, procurement card transactions, escheating, unclaimed property, and related transaction research.
- Supervise accounting staff responsible for student accounts, including sponsor contracts, bookstore invoices, and related transaction research. Monitor and research payments for returned checks and emergency short-term loans to students on a monthly basis.
- Coordinate training for Business Office processes for all college staff and faculty. Assist in testing, maintenance, and refinement of information systems software and office procedures.
- Assist with the completion of the College's periodic financial statements. Enter journal entries for financial statement presentation. Develop necessary year-end accruals for accounts payable. Monitor to ensure all payments are correctly recorded.
A bachelor's degree and three years of experience are required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the required degree. A bachelor's in an accounting field is preferred, and supervisory experience is also preferred.
