About the PositionWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Assistant to join our team at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Institute of Structural Engineering - Geotechnical Engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the DFG project RE 3881/6-1 "Piled rafts under cyclic horizontal loading" as part of the research team.
- Conduct small-scale model tests, soil mechanical laboratory tests, and numerical simulations with the finite element method (FEM).
- Master's or Diploma degree in civil engineering.
- Excellent knowledge of geotechnical engineering.
- Good to very good knowledge in the application of numerical methods in geotechnical engineering, especially FEM.
- Experience in conducting and evaluating soil mechanical laboratory tests.
- Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
- A diverse range of tasks within a modern and ambitious university.
