Prototyping and Laboratory Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Prototyping and Laboratory Technician to join our team at Midea Europe GmbH. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing prototypes for our built-in refrigerators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop prototypes that meet product specifications and design intent.
  • Conduct hands-on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of prototypes and laboratory equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to refine prototypes based on testing feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and workspaces to ensure a safe and organized environment.
  • Document test procedures, results, and modifications made during the prototyping process.
  • Support various testing activities, including performance, durability, and usability tests.
Requirements
  • Minimum qualification in a relevant technical discipline, preferably with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in prototyping, testing, or laboratory work, preferably in the home appliance or consumer electronics industry.
  • Proficient in using prototyping tools and equipment, including 3D printers, CNC machines, and hand tools.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
