About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Coding Specialist to join our team at BG Unfallklinik Murnau. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of medical coding and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Primary coding of inpatient cases, including review and correction of pre-coded data, and assignment of billing codes.
  • Regular attendance at ward rounds for coding support and collaboration with DRG-appointed physicians in case discussions.
  • Support for MD audit preparations and ongoing process optimization in the department and clinic.
  • Clarification of case-specific questions in close collaboration with the medical and nursing team.
  • Assistance in optimizing patient documentation to support the medical and nursing staff.
Requirements
  • Completed training as a medical coding specialist or medical documentation assistant.
  • At least 1 year of practical experience as a coding specialist.
  • Interest in the DRG system and relevant legislation, as well as experience in documentation and coding.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 and OPS classification systems, DKR, and common MS Office programs.
  • Structured and independent working style with a high level of responsibility.
  • Motivation, flexibility, and enthusiasm for teamwork.
