About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team at A100 ROW GmbH - D26. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support vendors and contractors in the construction and commissioning of various systems, including high, medium, and low-voltage power systems, generators, UPS, HVAC, chilled water systems, building management systems, and electrical power monitoring systems.
  • Provide multi-discipline input into the scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning of projects.
  • Review component submittal packages, lead factory witness testing, and perform system-level and integrated system testing.
  • Continuously audit activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Develop and execute test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems/components based on design intent and approved equipment submittals.
About the Team

The AWS Data Center Commissioning Team (ACx) is a highly skilled and experienced team of engineers, project managers, and operations specialists. We are dedicated to ensuring the rapid delivery of high-quality products while maintaining full transparency and recording metrics of manufacturer/contractor/equipment issues.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience directly related to mission-critical facilities or data center infrastructure, with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
  • 3+ years of commissioning experience.
  • Certification or training specific to NETA, ASHRAE, or Commissioning specific education courses.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for 50% or more of the time.
  • Required to provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office; reimbursed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Effective communication skills, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work in high-stress environments to maintain calm and respectful interaction with multiple teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for critical infrastructures.
  • Ability to read and edit construction documents, including design drawings, control diagrams, specifications, and equipment submittals.
