About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Sparkasse Rhein-Maas. As a key member of our department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our management team in profit and risk-oriented institute control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement market price and P&L-oriented market risk control strategies
  • Conduct risk and investment control, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage liquidity risk and operational risk, identifying areas for improvement
  • Design and conduct stress tests to assess our institute's resilience
  • Produce comprehensive risk reports, including risk capacity assessments
  • Maintain our risk manual, ensuring it remains up-to-date and accurate
  • Support the strategy process and risk inventory, providing expert advice
  • Ensure compliance with Marisk in our area of responsibility
  • Assist internal and external auditors, providing necessary information and support
  • Participate in project work, driving initiatives to improve our risk management framework

Requirements

  • Completion of a degree in Sparkasse or banking business management, or a similar field
  • Specialized training in financial mathematical topics
  • Expertise in analytical thinking and complex topic understanding
  • Independent, meticulous, and accurate work ethic
  • Commitment to acquiring extensive knowledge of our product range and its financial impact
  • Willingness to continuously improve and adapt to changing requirements
