In your role at Paretos, you will play a vital part in our engineering team, leading our initiatives in DevOps and Security. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and optimizing our AWS-based Kubernetes infrastructure to guarantee high availability and optimal performance of our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings. Furthermore, you will be tasked with developing and executing a comprehensive security strategy aimed at achieving ISO27001 certification. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in DevOps, cybersecurity, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management:

  • Oversee and maintain our AWS-based Kubernetes clusters.
  • Manage the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of services such as Keycloak, Dagster, Temporal, Snowflake, Airbyte, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and NGINX Ingress Controller.
  • Ensure the infrastructure's high availability, scalability, and resilience.
  • Automate infrastructure tasks utilizing tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.

Security and Compliance:

  • Formulate and implement a security strategy in alignment with ISO27001 standards.
  • Conduct regular security evaluations and vulnerability assessments.
  • Establish and manage security controls to safeguard data and infrastructure.
  • Lead the preparation and documentation for ISO27001 certification audits.
  • Stay informed about the latest security threats and best practices.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Provide guidance and training on security policies and procedures.
  • Engage with third-party vendors and manage security-related aspects of third-party integrations.

Monitoring and Incident Management:

  • Implement and manage monitoring tools to ensure system health and performance.
  • Respond to and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and outages.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans and conduct regular drills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in DevOps and infrastructure management, particularly with AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Strong comprehension of ISO27001 standards and certification processes.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), ISO27001 Lead Implementer, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Experience with other compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
