About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Lead to join our Product team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our backend services, ensuring they meet high performance, scalability, and security standards.

You will oversee the design, development, and implementation of backend services, manage and mentor a team of backend developers, and perform code reviews to ensure best practices.

Additionally, you will develop a benchmarking system, scale the API to handle new traffic, and design and implement high-performance and maintainable server-side code.

As a Senior Backend Lead, you will take responsibility for technical planning and solution design to evolve the API technology stack, ensuring we have the best tools to help our customers achieve the best results.

You will work closely with the Machine Learning and Data Science team to enable our customers to use the latest features added to AutoNLU directly in Studio.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about taking ownership of the backend development, leading a talented team, and driving technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of backend services.
  • Manage and mentor a team of backend developers.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure best practices.
  • Develop a benchmarking system and scale the API to handle new traffic.
  • Design and implement high-performance and maintainable server-side code.
  • Take responsibility for technical planning and solution design to evolve the API technology stack.
  • Work closely with the Machine Learning and Data Science team.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Lead who has a strong background in backend development, leadership, and technical planning.

You should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Additionally, you should have 3+ years of experience with Python and Python frameworks, be familiar with relational/SQL and NoSQL databases, and have experience with software engineering fundamentals.
