About the Role

As a Procurement Manager at Albemarle Germany GmbH, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's procurement strategy and ensuring the seamless supply of raw materials for our production operations in Germany.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing and Procurement: Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize raw material costs, quality, and risk profiles. Collaborate with product management, product development, and production teams to identify and secure reliable suppliers.
  • Supplier Management: Plan and execute supplier negotiations, monitor contract compliance, and maintain effective risk management across the vendor base.
  • Inventory Management: Balance inventory levels with supplier integration, working capital optimization, and logistics efficiency to ensure reliable operations.
  • Liaison and Communication: Serve as a liaison between the Global Business Unit and local stakeholders and suppliers on changing business requirements, impacting category/material strategies.
Your Profile

We are seeking an experienced professional with:

  • A completed business or technical degree
  • At least 6 years of experience in strategic procurement, procurement management of industrial production materials
  • Strong skills in project management, prioritization, and decision-making
  • Fluent German and English language proficiency
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SAP and MS Office packages

Estimated Salary:

€70,000 - €90,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
