Airbus Defence and Space GmbH is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Senior VHDL Developer for Space Mechanisms.

Estimated Salary: €2,500 - €3,000 per month (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing VHDL code for space mechanisms, working closely with our engineering team to ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and understanding existing development to identify areas for improvement
  • Learning and understanding formal development requirements from ESA standard
  • Defining external interfaces of module interfaces together with Airbus engineers
  • Formalizing requirements into a VHDL IP-Core specification
  • Checking existing VHDL code against coding standards
  • Delta-development of module with respect to defined interfaces and coding standards
  • Definition and development of test-benches and test-cases
  • Performing anonymization of developed IP-Core
  • Performing verification and validation of IP-Core
  • Documenting development and IP-Core according to ESA standard in English language
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Enrolled full-time student in the area of Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Space Engineering or an equivalent field of study
  • Good basic knowledge in VHDL and FPGA development
  • A structured way of working
  • You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently
  • Solid capabilities and interest in documentation of work
  • Languages: English is mandatory; French or German would be an asset
