Actuarial Analyst

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial planning for the non-life segment of the Munich Re Group. Your expertise will be crucial in coordinating and monitoring the delivery of input data from various stakeholders, creating a constructive work environment, and fostering strong communication within the interdisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and monitoring the delivery of input data from various stakeholders
- Supporting the implementation and testing of the Group-wide financial year plan under the new IFRS 17 standard
- Developing systems and tool infrastructure for actuarial analyses and reporting requirements
- Overseeing the efficient execution of IFRS 17 plan processing, quality assurance, and actuarial analyses of IFRS 17 key figures
- Preparing communications and addressing information requirements on financial year plan topics for various stakeholders
Requirements:
- University degree with a quantitative focus (e.g. mathematics, actuarial science, information technology, or economics)
- Experience in an actuarial role (e.g. Reserving, Pricing, Risk Management, Controlling, Underwriting, Insurance Audit). Knowledge of IFRS17 is a strong asset
- Strong affinity for working with large data sets and experience with programming languages such as R and SQL
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills as well as the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Self-motivated team player with a focus on pragmatic development of innovative concepts and solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
