About Our Team
The ABOUT YOU team consists of three core functions: 1) Business Development & Supply Chain Management, 2) Technology & Product Development, and 3) Marketing & Customer Relationship Management. We are a young and international team who all work together in one office in the heart of Hamburg's city center. The business development team, to which you will belong, is responsible for executing key growth initiatives. The team is embedded in ABOUT YOU's E-commerce department which reports directly to the CEOs.
About Our E-commerce Platform
The ABOUT YOU E-commerce platform is an online shopping club with a dedicated app and website (aboutyou-outlet.de). It works with a deal structure: Every day, new deals go live lasting for seven days. During that time, customers can shop from a discounted selection of products. After seven days, the deal goes offline and customers can no longer shop from that deal. As the ABOUT YOU E-commerce platform is a closed online shopping club, users need to register first before seeing products and discounts of a deal.
About Our Company
We are looking for a Data Analyst Intern (m/f/d) who is motivated to support the growth of the ABOUT YOU E-commerce platform. This role offers you the opportunity to experience first-hand the fast-paced environment of e-commerce, technology, and data analysis in an international team. You will be able to work on a wide variety of data-driven projects contributing directly to the success of our online store.
Responsibilities
- Closely collaborate with our data analyst to support her in conducting analyses (mainly using SQL) based on different data sources
- Build and maintain custom dashboards based on Google BigQuery (e.g., in Google Data Studio)
- Support on weekly routine tasks related to our pricing and steering
- Support the team with recurring analyses and prepare results in a meaningful format suitable to be presented to senior management
- Support the business development and technology team with the implementation of new features and technical solutions (e.g., conducting different test scenarios, reporting on bugs, monitoring fixes)
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a university degree with a strong quantitative focus (e.g., business, business informatics, economics); preferably for at least one more year
- Very good English skills
- Based in Hamburg
- Excellent analytical skills: You should have an interest in and a good understanding of working with data. Previous experience with SQL is advantageous, knowledge of data science-related topics is a plus (e.g., understanding of statistical and machine learning concepts, Python skills)
- Attention to detail and focus on delivering high quality results
- Strong personality to work in a fast-moving scale-up environment with an intrinsic motivation to actively drive impact in our business
