About the Job
We have a permanent opening for a Railway Operations Planning Director based in Hennigsdorf, north-west of Berlin. The ideal candidate will oversee the planning activities for projects and tenders, managing teams and developing competencies. This is a rare opportunity for an exciting planning leadership role.
Responsibilities
- Tender Management: Analyze tender documentation, set timelines, and ensure adherence until tender submission. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate inputs and define project schedule interfaces.
- Contract Execution: Develop quality schedules in accordance with company procedures and contractual requirements. Optimize schedules considering multiple criteria such as on-time delivery, cash generation, penalty avoidance, and efficient utilization of available resources.
- Performance Measurements: Timely updates of schedule and time-related KPIs, timely development of schedule-related documents, and maintaining the schedule in line with defined quality metrics.
Requirements
- Engineering Degree: An engineering degree is required for this position.
- Project Management Experience: +10 years of experience in project management and industrial background.
- Scheduling Tools: Knowledge of different scheduling tools (P6, OdyC, MSProject).
- Railway Products: Good knowledge of railway products and sub-systems.
- Communication Skills: Fluent English and German skills are required.
