Senior Project Manager Global SCM Network Strategy

Transforming Adidas Distribution Strategy

The Senior Project Manager Global Network Strategy is a key role in Adidas Global Supply Chain, driving the development of the distribution network to support business growth and provide a competitive edge. This involves leading network studies, collaborating with Market and Global functions, and developing recommendations for network improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead network studies and capacity checks for individual countries, supporting the Director of Network Planning during regional network projects and programs.
  • Develop network recommendations in partnership with market SCM and Global partners.
  • Improve network simulation models and coordinate business case development and 'Make or Buy' evaluations.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to Senior Management, summarizing the outcomes of studies to inform decision-making.
  • Finalize project activities, ensuring key tasks are handed over and documents are approved, completed, maintained, and stored appropriately.
  • Initiate and support continuous improvement activities to enhance network team efficiency, competencies, and scope.
  • Gain understanding of inbound, customs, distribution, deployment, and transportation capabilities across Adidas markets.
  • Act as a trusted partner to supply chain teams and other Global functions, providing ad-hoc support and insights where needed.

  • Experienced Supply Chain professional, with good knowledge of warehousing, deployment, transportation, and inventory management.
  • Proven track record of using tools such as MS-Excel, PowerPoint, Llamasoft, Smartsheet, PowerBi, and Project Management tools.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Four-year college or university degree in Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management, strategy, operations, network planning in SCM, preferably with experience managing complex projects related to warehousing, distribution, transportation, or process re-engineering.
  • Project management certification is an advantage.
