Job Summary

The AMTC Program Manager is a key position in Workforce Development, responsible for driving the short-term and long-term goals of the Advanced Manufacturing Training Center (AMTC). This role focuses on revenue generation, technical manufacturing training development, and delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing technology, materials science, or a related field, with experience in project management and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the AMTC to improve quality, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Develop and implement new programs, courses, and services to meet industry needs.
  • Supervise AMTC staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and staff development.
  • Develop and oversee the annual budget for programs, including monthly billing and grant writing.
  • Establish and maintain strong community partnerships to foster education and employment training systems.
  • Ensure information accuracy and consistency across the AMTC and main campus.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Business and Industry and IT Department to support delivery of courses and programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Technology, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • 2 years of project management or related experience.
  • Master's degree preferred, may substitute for 1 year of experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting or 2 years of post-secondary teaching in a technical area.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a post-secondary institution technical program.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to access transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of TCC policy and procedures.
  • Knowledge of project development and management.
  • Knowledge of office procedures and practices.
  • Knowledge of administrative principles and practices.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet software, and other software.
  • Proficient in effective oral communication, including presentations and written communication.
  • Proficient in human relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to market and sell training and other services provided by the college.
  • Ability to collaborate with other TCC employees and community resources.
