Customs Compliance Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead Customs to join our team at Cybex GmbH. As a key member of our customs compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with customs regulations and laws at both national and international levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with customs regulations and laws at both national and international levels.
- Oversee a team of 4 with training, coaching, and guidance in customs-related topics and procedures.
- Prepare and accompany audits by the customs administration.
- Assume responsibility for operational customs matters, process enquiries, solve problems, and support internal stakeholders.
- Be responsible for technical planning and organization, including issuing instructions for import customs clearance to service providers and preparing and monitoring export declarations.
- Advise and coordinate on all customs law issues, including complex and special legal issues such as opening new warehouse locations, E2E customs processes, R&D with regard to customs value relevance and licenses.
- Manage authorization requirements for the Cybex Group.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customs-related projects and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in customs compliance, import/export operations, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy and compliance in customs documentation.
- Excellent communication skills to provide clear instructions and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using SAP & AEB.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking ownership of customs-related topics.
- Fluent in German, good knowledge of English.
