Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Expert MSSQL to join our team at KION Information Management Services GmbH. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and cost-effectiveness of our database system landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and optimize the efficiency of our database system landscapes, focusing on stability, performance, and costs.
  • Analyze existing implementations to identify opportunities for improvement and develop target concepts with application managers/developers.
  • Examine infrastructure for savings potential and contribute to reducing/optimizing operating costs.
  • Work collaboratively with the database administrator team to ensure stable and high-performance database operations with high customer satisfaction.
  • Keep database systems up to date with the latest software/security levels and perform regular upgrades.
Requirements:
  • Three or more years of professional experience in MSSQL database systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows operating system and practical experience with cloud platforms/cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Ability to understand complex technical issues, identify optimization options, and possess analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of licensing and interest in developing further in this area.
  • Confident communication skills in German and English.
