About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our team in Amsterdam or remotely across Germany. As a Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in supporting our rapid growth and ensuring that potential legal risks are managed effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and negotiate commercial contracts with customers, suppliers, and other third parties.
  • Provide information to internal stakeholders about contracts, terms, and conditions, legal and compliance, and offer advice to keep our company scalable and flexible.
  • Perform vendor reviews and application reviews in line with company policies.
  • Work with the legal team to create and maintain scalable and compliant business practices and help improve legal department processes.
  • Contribute to company projects and specific legal projects to help our company become more successful.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Law, preferably private or commercial law.
  • 3+ years post-masters experience in the Information Technology (IT) sector as a lawyer or as a legal counsel in a fast-paced environment. SaaS industry experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of data protection laws, in particular GDPR.
  • Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills for commercial contracting.
  • Ability to handle different priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work flexibly with a variety of teams and people.
  • High integrity and strong legal and analytical reasoning.
  • Proficiency in English with good communication skills.
  • Fluency in German is preferred.
  • Team spirit and a collaborative can-do attitude.
