Kuraray Europe GmbH is a leading global player in the specialty chemicals industry, renowned for its innovative high-performance materials. As a sales specialist in this field, you will be responsible for driving growth and maximizing sales volume in the UK, Scandinavia, and Baltic regions.

Job Description

As Technical Sales Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the growth and maximization of sales volume of specialty interlayers in the designated regions.
  • Responsibility for achieving business targets, including revenue, pricing, accounts receivable, inventory, fixed costs, and safety/ethics, customer technical support.
  • Enforcing price increases and setting pricing guidelines to maintain high margins for layer pads.
  • Providing technical support and ensuring the handling of customer complaints and claims.
  • Analyzing market information from customers and ADECs.
  • Working with the HPP EMEA team and initiating and facilitating the sharing of best practice.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be tasked with conducting customer segmentation to improve costs and customer satisfaction, as well as maintaining and expanding relationships with leading laminated glass customers, architects, engineers, consultants for the specification of architectural glass interlayers, and glaziers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A completed Bachelor's degree in engineering, natural sciences, or business administration.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in technical sales, with experience in the glass industry advantageous.
  • Extensive experience in sales and marketing of technical/chemical products.
  • Knowledge of key financial figures and adherence to budgets and target agreements.
  • Fluency in English; German and other language skills an advantage.
  • Very good knowledge of BDE, SAP, Power BI, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word & PowerPoint, and online networking tools (Zoom, Miro, etc.).

We estimate that the salary for this position will be around €60,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This figure is based on industry standards and reflects the complexity and responsibility of the role.
