Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Sales Director to lead our European Sales Team and drive business growth in the region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to meet regional objectives and exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy and Planning
    • Develop and implement a sales strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives and regional market trends.
    • Analyze market data and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats, and provide insights and recommendations to inform sales decisions.
  • Team Leadership and Management
    • Lead, manage, and coach a high-performing sales team to achieve sales targets and exceed customer expectations.
    • Recruit, train, and develop sales talent to ensure a strong and motivated team.
  • Sales Budget Management
    • Manage the regional sales budget, including forecasting and budgeting for sales activities and expenses.
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
    • Develop and execute account plans to identify and pursue new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships.
  • Business Development
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base and drive sales growth.
    • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
  • Sales Operations and Reporting
    • Develop and implement sales processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective sales operations.
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
  • Collaboration and Coordination
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
    • Represent the company at industry events and conferences to build relationships and drive business growth.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with a strong background in sales strategy, team management, and customer relationship management.
    • Deep understanding of the European market and sales landscape, with a strong network of contacts and relationships.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and a focus on results.
  • Education and Certifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Relevant certifications, such as a MBA or a sales certification.
  • Language Skills
    • Fluent in English, with a strong proficiency in German, French, or Italian.
  • Travel Requirements
    • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, with a strong willingness to travel and work in a fast-paced environment.
