Your Role:
- You will be tasked with defining the software architecture that addresses our future-oriented challenges in digital grid software applications.
- Your primary focus will be on establishing a modular software architecture tailored for cloud environments, utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as Angular, microfrontends, microservices, container orchestration (Kubernetes), graph databases, and data streaming/analytics.
- You will define the software architecture within our Agile Release Trains and support implementation efforts across our international development teams.
- Collaboration with fellow architects and development teams will be key, as you leverage your strong communication skills and goal-oriented approach to drive change and project success.
- Both functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, redundancy, and cybersecurity, will be crucial in your architectural designs.
- Your involvement in our software architecture community of practice will contribute significantly to the evolution of our grid software products.
- A Master's degree in a technical discipline or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Certification as a software architect (e.g., SSWA from the Siemens Core Learning Program or iSAQB Certified Professional for Software Architecture (CPSA) - Advanced Level) or comparable experience is essential.
- Extensive professional experience in defining software architectures for cloud-based products, preferably on AWS, is necessary.
- Hands-on experience with microservice architectures, containerization, data streaming/analytics, and AWS technologies is highly valued.
- Familiarity with architectures for highly available services and an understanding of big data technology challenges are important.
- A passion for working in an agile environment (SAFe framework) and the ability to present complex topics in a clear, audience-appropriate manner are essential.
- Proficiency in both German and English, along with experience in global and multicultural teams, will enhance your profile.
