Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Production Manager to lead our metal processing team at Viega GmbH & Co. KG. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality and safety standards across our entire value chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical and disciplinary leadership of a metal processing line with approximately 15 employees
- Ensure the implementation of a high-quality and safety standard throughout the entire value chain
- Control the entire production process within the line based on relevant key performance indicators and in terms of quality, production costs, innovation, delivery dates, and sustainability
- Monitor and ensure production and equipment availability
- Continuously analyze and implement optimization potential in the sense of Lean Management
- Participate in rationalization and process optimization projects
- Plan and control costs within the line
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Implement occupational safety and environmental requirements
- Foster employee satisfaction
Requirements
- Completed vocational training with further training as a technician (m/w/d), master (m/w/d), or engineer (m/w/d) in the field of turning technology or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in the metal processing industry, as well as basic experience in leadership and coordination of employees
- In-depth understanding of production processes, quality, innovation, delivery performance, and cost key performance indicators
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a high sense of responsibility and organizational strength
- High level of engagement and ability to motivate and develop your team
- Good IT skills (MS-Office, SAP R/3, CAQ, MES, and BDE)
- Willingness to travel during the onboarding process to our site in Großheringen
