Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Optical Technician Apprentice to join our team. As an Optical Technician Apprentice, you will assist our experienced opticians in providing exceptional customer service, performing optical tasks, and learning the skills necessary to become a skilled optician.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist opticians in performing optical tasks, such as measuring patients' eyes, selecting and fitting eyeglasses, and adjusting frames.
• Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Learn and master the skills necessary to become a skilled optician, including optical measurements, lens cutting, and frame repair.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques in the field of optometry.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
