As a senior tax manager in our team, you'll work with clients on large real estate transactions worldwide, delivering quality tax planning and compliance services. We're looking for an ambitious tax professional with confidence and knowledge to think creatively in a constantly shifting environment and take ownership of projects and manage client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of all transactions-related tax matters in connection with real estate transactions worldwide
- Advising on transactions against the backdrop of the increasingly complex international tax environment, including structuring, coordination, and execution of real estate acquisitions and disinvestments
- Negotiating tax-related clauses in SPAs, JVAs, and subscriptions documents
- Responsibility for post-deal integration, restructurings, and compliance topics during the holding phase
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in corporate and international tax law with a focus on international real estate transactions
- German tax adviser or fully qualified lawyer with a focus on taxes
- Strong tax technical skills, including tax research and writing skills, and the ability to communicate complex issues in a coherent and commercial way to clients and other stakeholders
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage deadlines and client expectations
- Ability to prioritize across projects and make strong decisions in often-uncertain scenarios
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills and confidence to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders
- Very good command of English and German
- Understanding of IRR modeling
- Insurance knowledge, CFC tax, and/or fund structuring experience is a plus
