The Chair of Digital Health at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg invites applications for a Doctoral Researcher position in the field of digital twins for neuromodulation. This full-time research position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of personalized computational models of the nervous system.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop a framework for the rapid elaboration of personalizable computational models of the nervous system.
- Integrate image-based reconstruction technologies to automatically generate digital twins of individual subjects.
- Consolidate mathematical models of neural substrates and multi-physics modeling into the framework to test, enhance, and personalize the efficacy of existing neuromodulation technologies.
- Master's Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, or a related field.
- Experience in mathematical modeling, computational neuroscience, 3D CAD, image-based reconstruction, and machine learning.
- Proficiency in Python, Matlab, and C++ programming languages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
