Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Pörner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems and equipment for various industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop project-specific concepts, specifications, and designs for mechanical equipment and components, including package units, columns, pumps, compressors, and more.
- Determine and verify design parameters.
- Integrate customer standards into bid documents.
- Collaborate with other departments to correct PID and layout issues.
- Prepare technical inquiry documentation.
- Develop and verify technical bid comparisons with tender proposals.
- Participate in and conduct tender negotiations.
- Manage and control suppliers, including production inspections and quality control.
- Verify manufacturer drawings and documentation, and integrate them into ongoing detail planning.
- Conduct manufacturer acceptance tests and performance tests.
- Conduct on-site inspections.
- Provide on-site supervision and commissioning for mechanical and package equipment.
- Conduct interdisciplinary checks.
- Ensure adherence to given deadlines and budgets.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field with a focus on mechanical engineering.
- Proven practical experience and fundamental knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering, particularly in national and international plant construction projects (chemicals, petrochemicals, refineries).
- Knowledge of relevant software and calculation programs.
- Basic knowledge of essential standards for design and construction in mechanical engineering.
- Independent, structured work style and confident demeanor.
- Excellent communication and assertiveness skills, team player.
- Proficiency in German (C1 level) and English, with additional languages a plus.
- EU residence permit or German residence permit.
