Overview
We are seeking a "Solutions Architect Software (f/m/d)" for our "Ground & Naval Solutions" department at the Oberkochen site, Aalen branch. Our team of dedicated Solution Architects is responsible for crafting comprehensive technical solutions for our land and sea-based product systems, ensuring we deliver top-tier products to our clients.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical management and coordination of system engineers and software architects, focusing on complex (embedded) software for naval and ground systems.
- Review and align customer requirements concerning (embedded) software, translating them into technical specifications for a cohesive system.
- Identify, coordinate, and specify self-contained subsystems managed by interdisciplinary teams or external contractors.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates for proposals in close collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Develop presentations for clients and internal stakeholders, effectively communicating complex software aspects of the overall system.
- Collaborate proactively with system engineers to devise solutions that consider cost, quality, and timelines.
- Engage with business units to address future software requirements, methodologies, standards, and regulations, including functional safety and data security.
- Formulate strategies for implementing methodologies and regulatory requirements within interdisciplinary teams, in partnership with the "Engineering Services" department.
- Contribute to defining a module-based software architecture for the "Data Analysis & Fusion" and "Smart Sensors" departments involved in development.
- Support the department in identifying future specialist skills necessary for interdisciplinary teams, particularly in software development.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in systems engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in systems engineering for complex systems with significant software components.
- Proven track record in the technical management of agile teams focused on embedded software development.
- Solid experience in managing developments with external partners.
- In-depth knowledge of software standards, norms, and models.
- Familiarity with other technical disciplines such as mechanics, optics, and electronics, and their integration in products.
- Strong methodological skills in solution and decision-making, ideally supported by Six Sigma training (Green Belt, Black Belt).
- Experience in coordinating with international and intercultural clients is advantageous.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and analytical approach to work, with a strong business-oriented mindset.
- Fluency in both German and English is required.
