Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Risk Underwriter to join our team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our Reinsurance Division 7, you will be responsible for evaluating and developing reinsurance solutions for digital insurers.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and develop reinsurance solutions for digital insurers, taking into account actuarial and mathematical considerations.
- Assess risks and make pricing and margin calculations, including evaluating offers and negotiating acceptable terms and conditions.
- Cultivate and expand customer relationships, ensuring the delivery of high-quality reinsurance solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with new digital insurance trends and ensure Hannover Re's future readiness.
- Draw up, check, and modify reinsurance treaty documents and handle their administration.
Requirements
- Completed degree in business or insurance mathematics.
- Hands-on experience in the insurance or financial sector, obtained through internships or employment as a working student.
- Familiarity with balance sheet analyses and the application of balance sheet, supervisory, and tax policies and procedures.
- Interest in technical, actuarial, and economic issues.
- Proficient user skills in English, with knowledge of other languages an asset.
- Willingness to travel worldwide on business, approximately three or four times a year.
- International mindset, negotiating skills, and a high degree of self-reliance, flexibility, and commitment.
