Flight Safety Expert Job Description

Aerologic GmbH, a modern cargo airline based at Leipzig/Halle Airport, is seeking an experienced Flight Safety Expert to join its Flight Safety and Compliance Department.

About Aerologic

Aerologic operates a fleet of 22 Boeing 777F aircraft, providing daily connections to destinations in Asia and the USA. With a strong focus on safety and compliance, we are committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Job Responsibilities
  • Compliance Monitoring: Conduct independent audits and inspections in Ground Operations and Security areas, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Safety Management: Process and assess ground safety occurrence reports, identify hazards, and develop mitigations through safety recommendations.
  • Investigations: Lead or participate in investigations of incidents and occurrences, assessing their safety impact.
  • Operational Changes: Evaluate the safety implications of new technologies, operational changes, or specific occasions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in aviation or transport-related education, or equivalent practical knowledge and skills (at least 5 years of experience).
  • The ability to receive a ZÜP certification.
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in compliance monitoring and/or safety management.
  • Certification as an aviation auditor and/or risk assessor.
  • Ground Operations and/or Security expertise.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations (EASA, IATA, etc.).

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A sense of responsibility and proactivity, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • A solution-driven, analytical, and structured mindset.
