Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team at European Commodity Clearing AG. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and development tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Openshift, Public Cloud (GCP), Linux, and other relevant technologies.
  • Develop and maintain development and release processes in line with security requirements to avoid cyber security threats.
  • Collaborate with development teams to fully utilize our target platforms and implement agile working methods.
  • Set up the roadmap for our public cloud migration and technology utilization.
  • Develop the IT DevOps chain and receive a great deal in return for outstanding performance from your team.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field.
  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
  • Practical knowledge in developing engineering applications for a large corporation.
  • Experience with Git and Git workflows, Openshift, K8s(GKE), Public Cloud (preferably GCP), and Linux.
  • Good knowledge of relevant tools and technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Groovy, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Docker,.)
  • Experience in developing with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g. Java, Python).
  • Knowledge in using ElasticSearch, Prometheus, and observability in general.
  • Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
  • Problem-solving attitude and collaborative team spirit.
  • Able to provide guidance for colleagues and management.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and German skills.
