Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Lawyer - Sanctions Law Specialist to join our team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our Group Legal Services - Compliance Sanctions Legal team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our sanctions law strategy and ensuring compliance with international regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine, structure, and negotiate sanctions law and foreign trade issues
• Derive recommendations for action and liaise with specialist departments and local offices
• Monitor and analyze the development of international sanctions law provisions
• Draft contracts, conditions, and clauses relating to sanctions
• Train employees and develop communication channels to provide sanctions-related information
• Examine specific suspected cases that may arise in the course of reinsurance initiation or implementation

Requirements

• A completed law degree (First State Examination)
• Ideally, some experience in foreign trade and sanctions law
• Fluent in German and English
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
