Your Role

The Trading Integration Solutions team is responsible for delivering cutting-edge interface and integration solutions that facilitate Uniper's business operations. This team ensures the seamless flow of critical data across strategic Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems, dispatch, billing, invoicing, and other upstream and downstream applications.

The Techno-Functional Consultant plays a crucial role in converting the functional needs of Uniper's commodities sales and trading operations into IT specifications, implementing and aligning interface solutions and data flows between essential systems.

  • Engage closely with business users from Front, Risk, and Back office to translate business scenarios into IT specifications through design documents and technical deliverables.
  • Develop technical interface solutions through hands-on programming to meet business requirements.
  • Maintain active communication and collaboration with both business and technical solution teams.
  • Work with other departments on digital transformation and automation initiatives.
  • Coordinate with onsite and offshore teams for integration development and effective solution delivery.
  • Oversee solution delivery throughout agile sprints and the entire project lifecycle.
  • Enhance data flows across various initiatives to boost technical and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure quality assurance of deliverables, including test preparation and execution, along with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support and operational readiness.
  • Promote operational excellence to enhance efficiency post-implementation and during production.

Your Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A background as an IT Consultant with both technical and functional expertise, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong domain knowledge in the Energy Trading sector, including familiarity with trading systems, dispatch applications, and their associated data flows.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, and proficiency in CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps pipelines, as well as Infrastructure as Code.
  • Solid understanding of streaming and interfacing tools and methodologies, including Kafka, Spring, Python, Azure Microservices, and Middleware; knowledge of Flink is a plus.
