Postdoctoral Researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Software Development for Behavioural Quantification

The Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the Research Group "Statistical Genetics" led by Bertram Müller-Myhsok. We are looking for a talented individual to work on the development and application of artificial intelligence and software tools for behavioural quantification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software tools for behavioural quantification using deep learning algorithms
- Collaborate with the Research Group "Stress Resilience" led by Dr. Mathias Schmidt on the development of new algorithms for supervised and unsupervised embedding of animal motion
- Extend and generalise the software to new animals and add multimodal integration models
Requirements:
- PhD in biology, computer science, or a related field
- Experience with functional and object-oriented programming in Python
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow / PyTorch) is desired
- Experience with time series modelling / processing is desired
