About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Protection Specialist to join our team at HCLTech. As a key member of our Global Privacy Office, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with all applicable privacy laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a global privacy framework that complies with all applicable privacy laws and regulations.
  • Monitor developments in the local legal landscape and identify actionable items for the Global Privacy Office and client delivery teams.
  • Manage all communications and interactions with local Data Protection Authorities, including registration of DPOs and notification of data processing activities.
  • Own and manage all privacy projects at both strategic and tactical levels, including implementation of client's and HCL's privacy program.
  • Support the Business Assurance team in the implementation and testing of corporate privacy baseline controls.
  • Liaise with Cyber Security, information technology, contract closure group, and other stakeholders as applicable.
  • End-to-end management of privacy incidents, data breaches, and other related activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum overall corporate experience of 12+ years, with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience directly related to data protection/data privacy.
  • Excellent understanding of the fundamentals of data protection and a strong command of regulatory frameworks prevalent in the region, including GDPR.
  • Ability to succeed in a complex corporate system and navigate within a global environment.
