Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled ADAS Functional Owner to join our team at Design Consulting GmbH.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement ADAS function development projects, focusing on Active Safety, Driving, and Parking functions.
  • Plan and execute activities such as requirement definition, agreement with partner functions and departments, change request steering, functional application and validation, error management, test planning, and test case definition.
  • Coordinate testing activities, including self-certification and/or homologation, function validation, and reporting.
  • Ensure deliverables according to project phase and needs, agreements with all included parties, function release, and function application and testing reports.
Requirements:
  • University degree in computer science, electrical engineering, information technology, or a comparable course of study.
  • Independent and proactive work style, solution-oriented mentality, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Ability to interface and effectively communicate with customers and steer and manage suppliers.
  • Experience in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and Vehicle E/E Architecture.
  • Knowledge of functional architectures, technical specification sheets, and familiarity with OEM function development processes.
  • Several years of professional experience in relevant domains (OEM, Tier1/2, Engineering specialist), focus on series function development.
  • Knowledge of necessary testing equipment and experience in application of functions.
  • Availability for in-workshop, on-track, and road-testing activities.
  • Agile working experience and fluent knowledge of German (B2) and English (B2) language.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in Requirements Management using DOORS / AVW / Codebeamer.
  • Knowledge in common Bus interfaces (e.g. CAN, FlexRay, CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, ADTF etc.).
  • Handling of Vector tools, diagnostic tools (VAS tester, ODIS and/or IDEX), SW-flashing, signal-traces creation.
  • Knowledge regarding Jira, Confluence, cPlace (time planning tool) and KPM (problem tracking tool).
  • Knowledge of AUDI and/or VW processes.
  • Function development with Model-based Systems Engineering Framework (e.g. via tool CAMEO).
  • Experience in development process and implementation along ISO26262 and ISO21448 in ADAS.
  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages such as C, C++ or Python.
