**Job Description**


We are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Optics Product Specialist to join our team in the EMEA region. As a Solution Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and enabling sales on our Fiber Optic Production and Lab Test (FOPLT) portfolio. Your primary objective will be to drive sales growth in the region for the FOPLT portfolio.


**Key Responsibilities**



  • Deliver technical and application support to customers across EMEA for our FOPLT portfolio.
  • Develop a strong understanding of optical testing in production and laboratory environments.
  • Deliver product and technology presentations at targeted local roadshows, technical seminars, and webinars.
  • Self-motivated in penetrating opportunities and accounts for sales enablement.
  • Liaise with customers on instrument trials or method and procedure implementation.
  • Help discover ecosystem trends and activities as well as optimize product positioning to capture sales.
  • Provide regular customer feedback to the Business Unit in order to increase innovation and product market fit.
  • Transfer basics of product and technologies knowledge to Sales/Channel Partners during specific and regular training sessions.

**Ideal Candidate**


We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of optics equipment testing in a production and/or laboratory environment. Experience in providing pre-sales and/or product support, along with knowledge of test automation design and software, is highly desirable. A background in one or more areas such as physics, optical science, science, electronic engineering, or diploma with some post-graduate telecom expertise is also beneficial.


**What We Offer**


VIAVI offers a competitive salary of €80,000 - €110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including a 401(k) plan, flexible working hours, and professional development opportunities. This role can be based in one of our main EMEA office locations or in a home office in the UK, France, Germany, or Italy.


**Travel Requirements**


Up to 50% travel is required for this role, covering the EMEA region.
