JSP International GmbH, a global leader in thermoplastic foams, is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining the foundational data infrastructure of our Industry 4.0 manufacturing solutions.

About the Role:

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and storage solutions tailored to the unique needs of Industry 4.0 manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement scalable data pipelines and storage solutions to support manufacturing data processing and analysis.
  2. Ensure seamless integration of data from diverse sources such as IoT sensors, machinery, and production systems into centralized data repositories.
  3. Develop algorithms and processes for cleaning, aggregating, and enriching manufacturing data to prepare it for downstream analytics and decision-making.
  4. Optimize data workflows and processing pipelines to handle large volumes of real-time data efficiently and reliably.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, define data models, and implement solutions that support data-driven decision-making in manufacturing operations.
  6. Monitor data quality and integrity, implementing measures to identify and address anomalies or discrepancies in manufacturing data.
  7. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, continuously evaluating and implementing innovative solutions to enhance data infrastructure and capabilities.
  8. Provide technical expertise and support to resolve data-related issues, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and ensure the uninterrupted flow of data within manufacturing systems.

About You:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  2. Proficiency in data engineering methodologies, tools, and techniques, with hands-on experience in building data pipelines and storage solutions using Microsoft technologies (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database).
  3. Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable and reliable data architectures to support manufacturing data processing and analysis.
  4. Familiarity with Microsoft technology stack, including .NET framework, C#, and ASP.NET, for understanding software architecture and integration with data engineering solutions.
  5. Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps for managing data engineering workflows, version control, and supporting continuous integration and deployment processes.
  6. Knowledge of T-SQL for database testing, querying, and data manipulation tasks, with proficiency in using Microsoft SQL Server for data storage and retrieval.
  7. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify data quality issues, optimize data processing workflows, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
  8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to engaging with cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
