The Demand Solutions department at adjoe builds the core technologies to help mobile publishers acquire the right users for their apps and games. This team takes pride in developing 100 percent in-house software that manages, provides, and analyzes advertisements for more than 200 million daily mobile users. To empower advertisers and account managers with valuable insights, the team leverages machine learning models built by BI analysts and data scientists.

As a member of the Demand Solutions team, you will contribute to the development of User & API interfaces for internal business teams and external advertisers to create, launch, analyze, and optimize advertising campaigns. This role is ideal for experienced Go developers seeking a challenging position with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will contribute to the development of our backend written primarily in Go and maintain our microservice architecture used to communicate with our frontend (based on TypeScript React). To achieve this, you'll use event buses like Kafka and SQS/SNS for reliable asynchronous microservice communication.
  • You will work within a collaborative community of developers, sharing knowledge and contributing to peer code reviews.
  • You will work with modern columnar databases such as Druid – but also with MySQL, optimizing queries and data retrieval to deliver few-millisecond response times.
  • You will support partners by providing them with raw or aggregated data based on their business needs – we believe in data transparency and well-documented open APIs.
  • You will be responsible for collecting billions of daily API events and aggregating them in our Kafka and Kinesis streams with the goal of querying them from the data lake in seconds.
Your Background
  • You have worked in software development for 8+ years.
  • You have gained profound experience with building web applications in Go for at least 5 years.
  • You have worked with at least one columnar database (Druid, ClickHouse, Snowflake, Vertica, ...) and know how to analyze and optimize queries for it.
  • You are proficient in profiling a Go application and identifying bottlenecks, having applied this expertise to optimize application code in your previous roles.
  • You have experience working on large Go applications with considerable traffic (>100e6 requests per day).
  • You are open to relocating to Hamburg, Germany.
  • Bonus: You have experience working with infrastructure as code (Terraform), Docker, and serverless infrastructure.
About Our Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of €120,000 - €180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including relocation support, flexible working hours, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
