We are seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join our team at our first pilot plant in Munich, Germany.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is €65,000 - €80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description

As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of our production equipment, ensuring product quality, and handling raw materials and finished products. Your tasks will include:

  • Equipment Operation and Monitoring: Regularly operate, inspect, and clean production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Material Handling: Manage the manual transfer of raw materials and containers, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Receiving and Storage: Conduct inspections of incoming materials and oversee their proper storage.
  • Assembly Work: Collaborate with the engineering team on various assembly tasks to maintain the efficiency and functionality of our systems.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform regular quality checks, analyze samples, and ensure compliance with our high standards.
  • Maintenance and Inspection: Assist in the maintenance and calibration of field instruments while participating in routine maintenance activities.
  • Safety Inspections: Conduct safety inspections and ensure adherence to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Heavy Machinery Operation: Safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery, such as forklifts and cranes, as needed.
  • On-Site Material Handling: Handle, transport, load, and unload materials on-site.
  • Laboratory Experiments: Conduct lab experiments as needed and document results.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A completed technical vocational training, such as Chemical Technician, Production Specialist in Chemistry, Machine and Plant Operator, or a comparable qualification.
  • Practical skills and a hands-on mentality, enabling you to find practical solutions to challenges and actively contribute your ideas to optimize operations and production processes.
  • Quality awareness, being reliable, and having a keen eye for detail.
  • Industry interest, eager to dive deeper into the field of battery recycling and understand what goes on behind the scenes.
  • Flexibility, willing to work shifts if necessary.
  • Independence and reliability, dependable and able to work independently.
  • Team player, innovative, open-minded, and work well in a team.
  • Language skills, fluent in English (we provide support for language acquisition).
  • Additional experience, including operating heavy machinery and process equipment, knowledge of basic construction tasks (such as assembly and loading), and familiarity with field instrument maintenance.
