IT Infrastructure System Administrator

We are seeking an IT Infrastructure System Administrator to join our international team at IBA Dosimetry GmbH. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of innovative medical technology solutions used by hospitals around the globe.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure and system administration, with a focus on ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our company's IT environment. This includes managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, working closely with other IT professionals to support and optimize our systems, networks, and servers.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and software applications.
- Network Management: Monitor and manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
- Support: Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and other IT staff.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. They will also have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and system administration, as well as proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies, and network management tools. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar are a plus.
