EMEA Trade Compliance Specialist

About this role

In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring trade compliance for EU/UK, covering trade compliance improvements and overall trade compliance. You will report directly to the Director of Global Trade Compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure Trade Compliance for Customs compliance, Export control and Supply Chain Security in assigned region
  • Daily support for customs operations
  • Implementation of new customs laws and regulations
  • Risk assessment, control, and support on internal and external audit
  • Knowledge Sharing, training, and reporting
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. customs authorities, BAFA, HMRC) regarding trade compliance matters
  • AEO monitoring
  • Participate in (cross-functional) projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in economics, engineering or another related discipline
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in a similar role depending on educational credentials
  • Good understanding in international trade and supply chain
  • Proficient knowledge in export control, import & export, proficient in EU/UK customs compliance
  • Financial and operational problem solving and analysis skills
  • Result oriented and strong attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Business fluent in German and English, both verbal and written
  • Good MS Office knowledge
