Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team at FTAPI, a leading software company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive management of our financial operations and will play a critical role in our growth and international expansion efforts.

  • Financial Strategy Management: Develop and implement financial strategies to support FTAPI's growth objectives, oversee all accounting activities, and lead the finance team.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Utilize tools like Power BI to provide insightful financial reports and analysis, maintain and enhance the financial reporting framework, and manage the budgeting process.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary financial liaison with the board of directors, investors, and other key stakeholders, and communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead the data team, drive the development of financial metrics and KPIs, and foster a collaborative environment across all departments.
  • Strategic Partnering: Work closely with the CEO and the Board as a strategic partner, providing critical insights and challenging ideas constructively.
  • International Expansion: Develop and execute financial strategies to support international market expansion, particularly in Europe, and ensure financial compliance and effective risk management in new markets.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar financial leadership role.
  • A strong understanding of SaaS business models and financial metrics.
  • Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting with proficiency in tools like Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and foster a positive organizational culture.
  • Strategic mindset with a long-term orientation commitment to seeing projects through to completion.
  • Fluency in German and English; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
  • Based in Munich or willing to relocate to Munich.
